Iconic Bauhaus-inspired cantilever chair, model D44, produced by TECTA and designed by William Dunkel. The chair features a chrome-plated tubular steel frame combined with a robust black plastic mesh seat and backrest, a hallmark of TECTA’s modernist seating from the 1970s.

Its clean lines, floating cantilever construction and graphic, almost architectural presence clearly reflect Bauhaus principles of form following function. The black plastic mesh offers both visual lightness and practical durability, making the chair suitable for both domestic and office interiors.

This model is widely regarded as a design classic and is well documented in international design references, including Pamono.
